Who are we?
Peter Mayell founded InteGen Ltd recently, following seventeen years developing the remediation consulting and contracting business at BAE Systems Environmental (pre-2000, this was called Royal Ordnance Environmental Services Group). During this time, Peter was responsible as Remediation Designer, Project Manager or Project Director for some of the UK’s largest and most unusual remediation schemes, working for internal and external clients. These are listed in the ‘Project Experience’ section.
InteGen is a vehicle to provide the services of Peter Mayell, but can also supply other contract personnel and services where appropriate, covering:
- Contaminated land investigation and risk assessment
- Remediation works supervision/site-based project management
- Decontamination of plant or buildings contaminated, or potentially contaminated, with explosives

Curious about the name ‘InteGen’? It’s the brainchild of Dr. Jeremy Birnstingl of Regenesis. Whilst essentially meaningless, it might have flavours of integration, intelligence, regeneration, precision. It is also short, not in use (since 2006), and is suitable for a larger business if that is achieved.
